Take all the time you need. What matters is taking care of yourself so you can make the game as good as it can be without sacrificing your health.
On another note, Can you put Pengu Saves Christmas on Steam or Itch? I want to replay that game on my TV for the couch experience.

I'm so glad you seemed to have went with a "Sonic Advance 2/Ultimate Sonic Flash" style of gameplay! I'll wait as long as it takes!
...And just be glad you don't have unreasonable deadlines from the SEGA-Sammy Corporation breathing down your neck, as if they haven't figured out in the last almost-35 years that fast-paced games like Sonic require much bigger levels with more testing...
